Gmc Piston

With these compresion ratios, which one(s) will run on pump gas? I have a 1990 GMC Sierra with a chevy 350 that i am looking to make into a 383 that still runs on pump gas... I have some basic ideas but i am having a problem solving compression ratio compared to the different octane gas usage... Here is the first: Dish top piston = (cc heads) 58cc = 10.2, 64cc = 9.5, 76cc = 8.6 Flat top piston = (cc heads) 58cc = 11.1, 64cc = 10.4, 76cc = 9.2 The octanes that are available are 87, 89, and 91 at my local gas stations... which octanes run on which compression ratios? (just roughly based) anything under 10.0 to 1 will run on pump gas but probably still need high test of 91 to 93 octane, if you go with an aluminum head you can go as high as 10.5 to 1 and get away with pump high test, anything over 10.5 to 1 you will need to use racing gas.

Top Golfers will Sparkle the Buick Open

    As all the golf fans know, the 2009 Buick Open will happen at  Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Grand Blanc, Michigan, Monday-Sunday, July 27-August 2, the preparations is underway. It will be another headline holder.

    The tournament recently stated that it expects annother world-class field that already includes solid pro commitments.Defending champion Kenny Perry leads the field of early player commitments that includes the recently-crowned U.S. Open winner Lucas Glover, 2008 Ryder Cup team members and former Buick Open champions Justin Leonard (1996) and Jim Furyk (2003), and Brian Gay, who has recorded two wins on the PGA Tour this year.

    Three additional past Buick Open winners have also signed on – Scott Verplank (1988), Tom Pernice Jr. (1999) and Brad Faxon (1991) – along with PGA Tour winners JJ Henry and Corey Pavin. John Daly and reigning U.S. Amateur champion Danny Lee have confirmed their participation thanks to sponsor’s exemptions. The 2009 Buick Open field will compete for a $5.1 million purse (ties record purse of 2008), including a $918,000 first prize.

    As national promotions manager for Buick-GMC,Larry Peck said:"The Buick Open has been a stop on the PGA Tour schedule since 1958, and has been the site of premier golf in the state of Michigan."The tournament, which is celebrating its 51st anniversary of the inaugural event in 1958 at Warwick Hills, will host two days of player practice rounds before hitting the tees in the Pro-Am on Wednesday, July 29. This year’s Pro-Am has ramped up the entertainment with the field including not only PGA Tour players, but also celebrities from the world of entertainment and sports, such as Red Wings, Pistons, Tigers, and Lions.
