Professional and management positions often involve dozens and more resumes and 6-12 months of searching. My last job took 6 months, and for some jobs longer. Sometimes it helps to call the employer to ask what it is they are looking for, and try to craft your resume/application/interview to match. Some hiring manager literally have 100s of applications to look through, and any edge you can find will not hurt. Do not take it personally when you don't hear back from a company. The may have 15 interview candidates and the first one got the job. No hiring manager really enjoys the hiring process and is happy to get it over with. Stay persistent. |
